As a Physician at Northside Spine and Pain Specialists, Dr. Soong practices a comprehensive and personalized approach to treating chronic neck and back pain, neuropathic pain, headaches, cancer pain and several other types of chronic pain conditions.
Dr. Soong earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois Peoria, College of Medicine. He then went on to complete an internship in Internal Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital with Morehouse School of Medicine. For his anesthesiology residency, Dr. Soong joined Emory University’s Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Soong finished his formal medical education with a fellowship in Interventional Pain Fellowship at Mount Sinai- St. Luke’s and Roosevelt (West) Hospitals.
Dr. Soong joined Northside Spine and Pain Specialists in 2016. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, the Georgia Society of Anesthesiology and the New York State Society of Anesthesiology. In addition, Dr. Soong is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and is also board certified in Pain Management.
Dr. Soong is originally from the suburbs of Chicago, but he left the snow and cold behind for his wife’s hometown of Atlanta. His interests outside of medicine include: folding origami, hiking the trails of Georgia and watching movies. In his free time, Dr. Soong enjoys trying out new restaurants and embarrassing his family with his Star Wars obsession.
